Description
Women who are postmenopausal—those who have already stopped having periods—can receive treatment for specific forms of breast cancer with letrozole. Women who have previously received other cancer treatments, such as tamoxifen, are also prescribed it. Natural female hormones in the body can accelerate the growth of some breast cancers.
