Description

An injection of propofol is used to induce sleep or help you unwind prior to and during surgery or other medical procedures. This medication has sedative and anesthetic properties. In the intensive care unit (ICU), propofol can also be used to sedate COVID-19 patients who require mechanical ventilation.
