Description

This medication is prescribed for patients with coronary artery disease (narrowing or blockage of the heart muscles’ arteries), chronic stable angina (consistent duration and severity of brief episodes of pain, pressure, squeezing, and tightness in the chest), normal sinus rhythm (normal heart rate), and beta blocker intolerance when monotherapy is insufficient and heart rate is greater than 60 beats per minute. Systolic dysfunction (difficulty in ventricle contraction) in patients with stable chronic heart failure is another indication for its use. Patients with systolic dysfunction (disorder in ventricle contraction) and stable chronic heart failure.
