Description

This drug is used to treat diarrhea that appears suddenly, including traveler’s diarrhea. It functions by reducing the speed of stomach movement. As a result, there are fewer bowel movements and less water in the stool. Loperamide is also used to help patients who have had ileostomies discharge less frequently.
