Description

Cefixime 400 mg/day is the recommended dosage for adults treating simple gonococcal infections of the cervical or urethral regions; 400 mg should be taken orally in one dose. When treating Streptococcus pyogenes infections, a therapeutic dosage of cefixime needs to be given for a minimum of 10 days.
