Description

Adults with type 2 diabetes can be treated with empagliflozin, an anti-diabetic medication, on its own or in combination with other medications. Additionally, it is used to lower the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes. Patients are advised to follow a strict exercise and dietary regimen in addition to taking this medication in order to achieve the best results. Patients with type 1 diabetes or those experiencing diabetic ketoacidosis shouldn’t take empagliflozin.
