Description

It is used to treat type 2 diabetes with empagliflozin. It functions in the kidneys to stop glucose (blood sugar) from being absorbed. This aids in reducing blood sugar levels. Patients with type 1 diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes cannot benefit from empagliflozin.
