Used for Giardia or Cryptosporidium-Related Diarrhea. Sometimes These Illnesses Are Known as “Traveler’s Diarrhea.” Adults and children that are at least one year old are prescribed nitazoxanide. Never take this medication for longer than is advised or in larger or smaller doses.
