Description

Men with benign prostatic hyperplasia, or an enlarged prostate, which is brought on by the prostate gland releasing too much dihydrotestosterone, can take avodart to treat their condition. The drug in question is dutasteride. It is a member of the class of medications known as 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
