Description

In patients with inflammatory urinary tract disorders, such as prostatitis, urethritis, and cystitis, flavoxate is used as a smooth muscle relaxant to reduce pain, frequency of urination, and bedwetting. This drug is also used to treat instrument- or surgery-induced bladder-urethral spasms.
