Description

Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus, or Moraxella catarrhalis are the bacteria that can cause an acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.Pneumonia contracted in the community due to Streptococcus pneumoniae.
