Description

When diet and exercise alone are insufficient to achieve adequate glycemic control, it is recommended as the first line of treatment for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are not responding well to metformin HCl or sitagliptin alone, or in those who are already receiving treatment with both sitagliptin and metformin HCl, as an addition to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.
