When the following infections are brought on by vulnerable strains of the specified microorganisms, cefixime is recommended for treatment: – Simple infections of the urinary system Otitis media; tonsillitis and pharyngitis; acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis; and simple gonorrhea (cervical/urethral).
